Domaine Fangsi
In 2022, a group of passionate young sommeliers and winemakers got together to set up a boutique garage winery in the renowned Helan Mountain East wine region of Ningxia, China. Three years on, Domaine Fangsi has quickly gained international recognition for its expressive wines and creative winemaking.
Comprising mainly the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Domaine Fangsi's 10 hectares of vineyards predate its founding, first planted in 2013 by the father of winemaker Yao Ningning.
The area's barren soil is covered with stones and gravel, ideal for grapevines to take deep root and draw moisture and nutrients. Naturally, Domaine Fangsi translates their fruit into wines of depth and intensity that fully express the terroir of Ningxia.
