Chateau Summerland

Located at the heart of Gansu Province, at the convergence where the Badain Jaran Desert and the Tengger Desert meet, Chateau Summerland is a project that best encapsulates the enterprising and ambitious new wave of Chinese winemakers.
Blessed with unique terroir, abundant sunshine, a dry climate, and pristine soil, the winery boasts 4,000 acres of land on which 34 high-performing grape varieties are currently cultivated. Extensive viticulture research has led to a selection of grapes best suited to the climatic conditions of China's Northwest.
From Mourvedre to Arneis, Friulano to Lemberger, each grape variety highlights a unique facet of Chateau Summerland's vision, and together they are chapters writing the anthology of Gansu winemaking.
